Anil Shah completed his dominance at the second Professional Golfers of Kenya (PGK) Masters Golf tournament held at the par 72 Royal Nairobi Golf Club over the last three days with a resounding victory today.

The Royal pro finished the event on a total of 12 under par 204 (68, 70, 66), beating his closest opponent by seven shots and in the process pocketed the winner’s purse of Sh48, 000.

During today’s round, Anil carded six under par 66 to clinch the title in style after leading from the first round. In the first of the final round, Anil sunk two back-to-back birdies on the par five hole two and par four hole three then parred the remaining holes for a first nine score of 34. In the second nine, he started brilliantly with two birdies on the par four 10th and 11th holes then registered back-to-back birdies on the par five holes 14 and 15.

John Wangai of Railway Golf Club settled for the runner-up position on five under par 211 (73, 69, 69) and in the process pocketed Sh32, 000, while the third slot was shared by Golf Park’s David Wakhu and Mumias’ Dismas Indiza who had a late rally after a poor start, as they both amassed a total of level par 216.

Wakhu’s rounds were made up of scores of 73, 71, 72, while Indiza who fumbled on the first day with a score of three over par 75, posted 74 in the second round and registered five under par 67 during yesterday’s round.

The hard hitting Mumias pro today started on a high note with two birdies on the par three hole one and par five hole two, before picking another shot at the par five seventh hole for a first nine score of 33.

In the second nine, he picked a birdie on the par four 10th hole and an albatross on the par four 11th, before dropping a shot on the par four 16th hole for a score of 34.

Muthaiga’s Greg Snow who was second in the first round had a miserable final round where he played eight over par 80 for a total of 22 (69, 73, 80).

“My golf was just poor today, but I can’t complain that the course was tough. I have to return to the drawing board and bounce back in the next event that will be held at Muthaiga next week,” said Snow.

Brian Njoroge of Vet Lab who won the Windsor event last week finished fifth on one over par 217 (70, 77, 70). nike air max cheap wholesale nike air max cheap wholesale
