National junior golf team has finished fourth at this year’s All Africa Junior Championships that ended today at the par 73 Lusaka golf Club in Zambia.

The team comprising of Adil Balala, Tahir Said, Agil-Is Had and Akshay Chandaria posted a joint total score of 477 gross, to finish behind South Africa, Zimbabwe and hosts Zambia in the continental showcase that brought together 10 countries.

Balala posted the best score in the team, managing 153 gross in 36-holes (75, 78), while Said posted 165 gross (78, 87) and Agil managed 166 gross (84, 82). Chandaria played 168 gross (88, 80).

South Africa comprising of Keegan De Lange, Herman Loubser, Marco Steyn and Dylan Naidoo emerged the winners with 435 gross, while Zimbabwe was second on 466 gross and hosts Zambia were third on 471 gross.

Swaziland came fifth on 485 gross, while Tunisia was fifth on 496 gross and Uganda whose senior team recently won the Africa Zone VI competition at Entebbe Club, finished seventh on 501 gross.

Namibia was eighth on 504 gross, while Botswana was ninth on 527 gross and Mauritius finished 10th on 537.
