This year’s Kenya Amateur Strokeplay Championships has been brought forward from October 17 and 18 to October 8 to 10, tournament organizers announced yesterday.

According to tournament director Peter Warui, the move has been caused by the fact that Kenya will be hosting the African Amateur Golf Team Championship, towards the end of that month.

Kirui said the event will, however, be held at the par 72 Sigona Golf Club as earlier planned and that it will be played as 72 holes stroke play.

“On Tuesday October 8, the players will play strokeplay over 36 holes in the morning and afternoon, then on Wednesday October 9 they will play 18 holes strokeplay in the morning before playing another 18 hole strokeplay on Thursday, October 10 in the morning,” said Kirui.

He added: “This is a World Amateur Golf Ranking event and the winner will get an automatic slot to play at next year’s Kenya Open golf event in March.” cheap air max 95 cheap air max 95
