National golf team captain Kenneth Bollo made it three in a row with a convincing win of this year’s Muthaiga Golf Open at the par 71 club at the weekend.
Bollo who also won the season opening Sigona Bowl, before clinching the Mount Kenya Championships, was in a class of his own, beating his closest opponent by seven shots, amassing a total of 223 (75, 75, 73).
“It was tough, but I thank God I managed to win. My putting was bad on the first day as I lost five strokes, but on the final round I was playing good golf that enabled me to hold off Daniel Nduva’s charge,” said Bollo who currently plays off scratch.
He added: “ The greens were good but a bit fast and I only managed five birdies in the entire event.”
The win saw Bollo stretch his lead at the top of the Golfer Of The Year (GOTY) series table to 64.25 after three events, carrying a comfortable 23 points lead.
Nyali’s Nduva was second on a score of 230 (78, 70, 82), while Limuru’s Paul Muchangi tied with Muthaiga’s Geoffrey Kubwa and Royal’s Geoffrey Felix on 231.Muchangi had rounds of 81, 76, 74, while Kubwa managed rounds of 72, 82, 77 and Felix managed 79, 78, 74.
The next Goty action will be the Windsor Classic on March 11 and 12. cheap nike air max 95 trainers cheap nike air max 95 trainers
