A large field of 128 players have been drawn for the 15th leg of the on going Dasani Golf Gala slated for the nine hole Machako Golf Club on Saturday where eight more qualifiers would be picked for the series’ Grand Finale set for September 29 at the Karen Golf and Country Club.
In Machakos, the leg will bring together players from the home club as well as members of the Kenya Air Force Golf Club in Eastleigh.
The players will be have a lifetime experience at the par 72 course situated in the heart of Machakos as it has indigenous grass on its fairways and more ‘browns’ than there are ‘greens’. According to club officials, the toughest holes on the course are the seven and eighth and participants should be braced for a tricky round on the day.
So far 112 players have already booked their tickets to the Grand Finale after the first 14 qualifying rounds held in Kiambu, Thika, Windsor, Railway, Royal, Vet Lab, Leisure Lodge, Nyali, Eldoret, Nakuru, Nyanza, Karen, Nyeri and Sigona.
This year, the grand prize will see the winning team of four players travel to Dubai to attend the Grand Finale of the European Tour, the DP World Tour Championships at the Jumeirah Golf Estates. While in Dubai, they will also have the opportunity to see Europe’s top 60 money earners on the 2012 Order of Merit battle it out for a 1.3 million winner’s cheque.
In addition, they will play at some of the best golf courses in the region, including the Dubai Creek Course and the challenging Faldo Course at the Emirates Golf Club, a course designed by former world number 1 and six-time major Champion Sir Nick Faldo. charme pandora pas cher charme pandora pas cher
