Preparations are complete for the Junior Golf Foundation (JGF) Golf Award Gala slated for Wednesday afternoon at the Royal Nairobi Golf Club.

This has been confirmed by JGF Chairman Ashwin Gidoomal who noted that they would use the Order Of Merit which was introduced this year to rank juniors countrywide, in picking the award winners.

“The order of merit is calculated on the best ten rounds in 12 months moving average. The Gala event which will start at 2pm on Wednesday will be curtain raised by a 54 hole competition to be played from Tuesday December 19th in the morning and afternoon and on Wednesday morning,” said Gidoomal.

Among the leading juniors who will be battling it out for the top honours will be the current leader Abraham Abdullahi from Great Rift Valley Club with 74.40 pts, Nyali’s Daniel Nduva 74.5 pts and Naomi Wafula from the Naliaka foundation with 74.8 pts.

The Junior Golf Foundation (JGF) has continued to promote the game of golf in the country.

Gidoomal said: “The Foundation has made great success this year. Recently the Kenya National Golf Team that won the East Africa Challenge Trophy in Bujumbura Burundi was made up of five juniors who are members of the JGF. They are Abraham Abdullai, Kush Mediratta, Adel Balala, Mathew Wahome and Daniel Nduva.”

He added: “The juniors have also played well during the KGU golfer of the year events with Daniel Nduva finishing second in the just concluded Nyali Open that was played at the weekend.”

The gala awards will be graced by KGU officials, JGF Trustees and KLGU officials. charms pandora pas cher charms pandora pas cher
