BRADLEY NEIL SINKS AN EAGLE TO WIN KCB KAREN MASTERS PRO AM TOURNAMENT

Leicester Professional Golfer Charlie Ford tees-off at Karen Golf & Country Club during the KCB Karen Masters.

Scottish Bradley Neil has won day one at KCB Karen Masters after playing an excellent 66 points. Englishman Ben Evans was second while his countryman Charlie Ford, tied with Mathew Delpodio and Mathew Baldwin for the third position with the three playing 68 points at the Par 71 Karen Country club.

The team category saw Italian Lorenzo Gagli emerge victorious alongside Isaac Githuthu, While Charlie ford was second after being paired with David Odhiambo Owino. Former Karen Country Club lady captain Rose Musau played an excellent 66 points playing alongside Wilson Oliver.

Bradley Neil signed off with a par on hole one, before sinking a birdie in hole 2 and three. He continued riding on the crest of the wave he began paddling on the 3, to play an excellent par one hole five before sinking another birdie on the 8th hole to play 34 points in the front nine.

He then rolled in three birdies in the back nine extending the lead that essentially slammed the door on Ben Evans. The golfer ended a day of high drama by signing off with an eagle on hole 18 carding 66 points.

COCA-COLA SPONSORS THE 2017 BARCLAYS KENYA OPEN TO A TUNE OF SH 4M

Coca-Cola Company through the East African Franchise, has announced a Sh 4 million sponsorship injection towards this year’s edition of the Barclays Kenya Open 2017. Coca-Cola, who has been the official water sponsor of the tournament for 7 years, will this year come on board with Keringet Mineral Water, a member of the Coca-Cola family.

Speaking at the ceremony, Coca-Cola Marketing Manager for Kenya Lucy Odour said, “The Kenya Open Golf Championship is a tournament steeped in rich-history; history that we at The Coca-Cola Company are very proud to be a part of. This marks our seventh year as the official water sponsor of the tournament, however this year we will be coming on-board through Keringet Mineral Water, the newest member of the Coca-Cola Family.”

This year marks the 49th edition of the prestigious tournament, which will be held at the Muthaiga Golf Club between the 23rd and 26th of March.

The Kenya Open Golf championship is the oldest and most prestigious golf tournament in East Africa and is a part of the European Challenge Tour.
