INDIZA CHARGES LIKE A BULL TO LEAD NGIGE AND CHARANIA IN MAKING 2017 BARCLAYS KENYA OPEN CUT

Dismas Indiza tees off at the Muthaiga Number 10.

Dismas Indiza got over a poor start in round 1, to play an impressive round of 5 under par on Day 2 and lead a Kenyan trio that includes Simon Ngige and Riz Charania into the weekend of the 2017 Barclays Kenya Open.

Indiza who played a 1 over par round on day 1 was in impressive form on the second day of play hitting three back to back birdies in hole 2, 3&4 then another back to back in the 17th and 18th holes to finish 5 under par which placed him T24 on the leader board.

The top Kenyan at the end of round one Simon Ngige, dropped off the pace playing a round of 2 over on day 2 but managing to make the cut off his impressive four under in round 1. Ngige finished T43 at the end of round 2.

The third Kenyan to make the cut was Riz Charania of Windsor Golf club who kicked off the day with an albatross on the 10th, ending with identical rounds of 1 under par to finish T43.

French man Adrien Saddier finished top of the overall log after playing a round of 9 under par on day 2 after a 3 under par on day 1. Saddier played a flawless round of 62 on the day to carry a one-shot lead ahead of Samooja Kalle who ended on 66, 5 under par.

There will definitely be a new champion crowned at the Muthaiga Golf club after defending champion Sebastien Soderberg withdrew with a shoulder injury.

Round 3 action starts at 7:50 am with the field of 65 all teeing off from the Muthaiga number 1. Indiza will tee off at 11:10 am with Riz teeing off at 9:30 am, 20 minutes after Simon Ngige who gets underway at 9:10 am. nike air max trainers nike air max trainers

FRENCHMAN SADDIER TAKES SINGLE SHOT LEAD AFTER KENYA OPEN SECOND ROUND AT MUTHAIGA

French man Adrien Saddiers today sprung to the lead as Barclays Kenya Open’s round two came to a close at Muthaiga Golf Club after he picked birdies on holes 7 and 8 to upset a more than eight hour lead from Finland’ Kalle Samooja.

Samooja 29, attached to Aura Golf Club was at the helm of the leader board for most part of the morning and afternoon with an eleven under par score until Saddiers, having teed off on par five hole ten in the afternoon, got the last nine and leveled the score on hole seven.

Saddiers birdied the par four hole eight and went on to level the par four hole nine to culminate his play top of the leaderboard. Enroute his lead, the French had closed the first round on a three under par 68 but came back stronger for a second round on nine under par 62.

The 24 year old attached to Esery Golf Club started off well with back to back birdies on the par five hole ten and par three hole 11. He levelled four more holes and made two birdies before finishing the first nine with an eagle for a perfect score of 29 in. He made three birdies on the second nine and leveled the rest for a 33.

Third placed Davies Rhys from Wales was consistent in his play having posted a six under par 65 on the first round, he went on to grab a four under par 67 on the second round for a total of ten under par 132.

First round’s leader, South Africa’s Jaco Ahlers had a bad day in the office after he picked a double bogey on the par 3 hole 13 and managing three birdies on the course for second round total of one over par 72 but still made cut after and a cumulative score of six under par 136.

Defending champion Sebastian Soderberg withdrew from the competition after suffering a shoulder injury after the first round.
