MAKAU LEADS HIS TEAM TO VICTORY AT DASANI’S MACHAKOS LEG

Machakos Golf Club Captain Stephen Makau led his team of Eugene Kisuya, Edward Tenga and David Mila to victory at the fourth leg of Dasani Golf Gala held over the weekend at the Machakos Golf Club.
Makau a handicap-20 golfer played impressively posting a stable ford score of 22 points on the first nine and 16 points on the second nine for a total of 38 stable-ford points. David Mula contributed 37 points whilst Edward Tenga contributed 35 points bringing the team total to 110 points. Eugene Kisuya the Vice Captain at Machakos was the team’s weakest link albeit with a respectable score of 34 points.
Speaking after his round, Tenga said that winning at Machakos and qualifying for the Grand Finale was rewarding. “As a team, we put in a lot of hard work and luckily we all played relatively well,” Tenga said. “I have to confess we did say our prayers and hopefully we will be equally successful at the Finale.”
Makau added this was the second time his team was qualifying for the Finale. “Last year we did not do so well at the Grand Finale and we missed out on the trip to South Africa,” Makau said. “On this occasion, we will improve our skills and ensure we secure the title and head to Atlanta for the TOUR Championship.”
The team of Shaffiq Sundeji, Simon Bett, Samuel Theuri and Bernard Mung’ata finished second with 108 points. Sundeji, a seasoned Machakos Club golfer playing off handicap 17 posted an excellent 40 stable-ford points whilst Bett and Theuri both posted 34-points. Mungata was the weakest link with 31-points.
 
The individual winner was Fred Kilonzi the former Machakos Club captain who returned an impressive 38 points beating the KAF’s Kevin Mabele on count back. The guest prizes went to Kiambu’s Patrick Muigai who returned 33 stable ford points; Watson Burugu was the guest runner up on a 28-points.
The Dasani Golf Gala now heads to Kenya’s Home of Golf, the Muthaiga Golf Club on the 21st of May 2011. nike air max nike air max

MONAY, BACHU REIGN SUPREME AT CROWN BERGER GOLF QUALIFIER AT KERICHO GOLF CLUB

The pair of Malvinder Bachu and Monay Syan are the winners of Crown Berger Kenya Ltd Golf championships played at Kericho club over the weekend.

Playing at handicap 9, Bachu and Syan posted 41 points of 19 in the first nine and 22 in back nine. The duo have qualified for the event’s grand finale which to be played in Limuru in July. Three more pairs of also qualified for the grand finale.

They were runners-up pair of William Odera and Gurdit Virdee who posted 40 points of 20 in each nine.

The third and fourth pairs were Zack Bichage and Chris Williams and Tom Osoro and William Ochogo and will proceed to the grand finale.

Bichage and Williams posted 39points of 17 and 22 with fourth Osoro and Ochogo collecting 37 points of 17 and 20.

Fifth placed pair of Dismus Mokua and Gabriel Bichage will go to Limuru as reserve should any of the prospective pairs fail to show up.

Mokua and Bichage collected 35 points of 16 and 19 during the tournament where professional Golfer James Lorum acted as company’s ambassador. canada goose online shop canada goose online shop
