NGIGE POUNCES TO WIN KCB TOUR LIMURU LEG

Thika golf club resident Pro Simon Ngige beat the cold in Limuru to emerge the winner of the fourth leg of the KCB Advantage Banking golf tour in Limuru golf and Country club.

Ngige won emphatically with a superb 5 under par 279 in the four day tour that was characterized by extreme cold weather in the Limuru golf course.

Ngige had a good outing in Limuru where he carded a 1 over par 70 on the opening day followed by an good one over on the second day. On the third day he improved his putts and managed an impressive 3 under par 68 and closed the fourth day tour of Limuru with a sure 2 under par 69.

“The course has been very good but I started with a bad swing in the first day and my putts were not as perfect as I intended. The challenge has been good and I kept pushing myself to do better every day despite the cold weather”, said Ngige.

Second place was a tie between Mumias resident Pro Dismas Indiza and Royal Nairobi golf club resident Pro Anil Shah with a satisfactory 2 under par 282.

Royal Nairobi golf club resident Pro David Wakhu was in third position with a good one under par 283. Wakhu had a mixed fortune outing in Limuru with a first day level par score then dropped a poor 3 over 74 on the second day followed by an impressive 4 four under par 67 and closed the tour with succinct level par.

“KCB is doing very good for the game in Kenya; we are sure this Pro tours will produce a winner of the Kenya open. All we need is more tournaments such as what KCB is sponsoring to sharpen our skills”, observed Wakhu.

Limuru resident Pro James Karanja was fourth with a fair 3 over 287 in a tournament that brought together 32 Pros from various golf clubs in Kenya.

Limuru course has seen some of the best scores so far with a second day tie of 5 under par 66 between Indiza and Rokoine. despite this good score Rokoine was not able to keep the momentum in the last day.

The winner took home cash prize of Kshs.175,000 in addition to PGKs order of merit points. KCB Director Human Resources Charles Maranga preside over the prize giving ceremony. maillots foot maillots foot

INDIZA EXTENDS LEAD AT KCB TOUR IN LIMURU

Long hitting Dismas Indiza extended his lead at the fourth leg of the KCB Advantage Banking golf at the par 72 Limuru Golf and Country Club.

After taking an overnight lead at the end of the first round, the Mumias golfer who has so far won two events in the tour, started from where he left and gave all indications that he is going for the top prize once again.

He sunk an albatross on par five hole three then played eight pars for a total of 33 in the front nine. The player carried his impressive form to the second nine with another eagle on hole 15, he also sunk a birdie on hole 12.

Muthaiga’s Nicolas Rokoine finished the second round placed in the runner-up position after he played six under par 66.

Rokoine who won the Order of Merit last year, sunk four birdies and played five pars in the front nine followed by an impressive two birdies on holes 17 and 18.

“The course is great and allows the use of drivers for long hits. Limuru’s course is always a good one to play on,” said Nicolas Rokoine. maillots foot pas cher maillots foot pas cher
