The four are the current top amateur golfers in the country with three, but for Kibugi, having been part of the indomitable team that won the 2017 East African Golf Challenge Trophy following three days of play in Tanzania in August, dethroning Uganda to deny them the fourth straight regional title .

At least 20 countries will take part in the biennial continental showpiece with 15 having confirmed their participation among them title holders South Africa. In 2015 the tournament was held at Limuru Country club where Kenya finished second.

We are pleased to announce the team that will represent the country in an event that remains one of the most prestigious golf competitions in Africa. A large field of over 200 participants have confirmed participation at this year’s AAR Healthcare wellness golf tournament set for Saturday at the par 72 Ruiru Sports Club.
Speaking ahead of the event, the club’s golf captain Anthony Kamau lauded AAR for the sponsorship adding that such localized efforts are the unheralded bedrock of golf events.
The AAR golf tourney is held in a bid to incorporate health and wellness in sports. Highlights of the day would include free medical check-ups, nutrition advice and physiotherapy advice for the participating golfers.
“It will certainly be a great weekend for us as we all yearn for good health. There will be a tremendous mixture of many home and guest golfers and we couldn’t be more thrilled to treat the players to a showcase of golf steeped in health,” said Kamau.
Some of the key golfers to spice up the day long event includes Isaac Githinji and Kimani Munyua who have been on a roll over the past three weekends. Munyua buried a closing birdie on the 18th hole to win the September Monthly Mug last weekend on a net score of 63. air max 95 air max 95
