Snow, who has participated in five events, has already claimed three victories and consistently finished in the top ten, propelling him to the top of the Equator Tour Order of Merit. He leads ahead of second-placed Samuel Chege, with the evergreen Dismas Indiza mounting a strong challenge in third place.

Daniel Nduva, winner of the inaugural event at Ruiru, and the talented Kibugu brothers, Njoroge and Mutahi, complete the top six. Njoroge Kibugu, who has twice finished runner-up to Snow at Limuru and Mt. Kipipiri, remains in pursuit of his maiden Equator Tour title.

With the Equator Tour serving as the official qualifying pathway for the 2026 Magical Kenya Open (MKO), the battle for ranking points has intensified. A minimum of 15 Kenyan professionals are expected to qualify for the prestigious European Tour-sanctioned event through the Equator Tour standings.

While seasoned campaigners like Snow, Chege, and Indiza are aiming to maintain their dominance, rising stars such as Isaiah Otuke are eyeing a maiden MKO appearance, adding further intrigue to the competition’s second half.

Corporate League Standings Tighten

In the Equator Tour Corporate League, the Safaricom team currently leads the standings. Close behind is a revitalized Kenya Airways side. Early pacesetters Visa now sit third, followed by UDV/Johnnie Walker, NCBA, and Britam. With midseason player adjustments taking place, team strategies and selections are expected to play a decisive role in shaping the final leaderboard.

Building Momentum toward MKO 2026

The Equator Tour continues to demonstrate its value as a high-class platform for Kenya’s professionals, offering consistent competition and vital preparation ahead of the 2026 Magical Kenya Open. Golf fans across the country are growing increasingly optimistic that the Kenyan pros will deliver strong performances when they tee it up against the international field next year.

“The Equator Tour has provided our professionals with a steady platform to compete and improve throughout the season,” said PGK Chairman CJ Wangai. “The performances we’ve seen so far, both from our top players and emerging talent, reflect the growing depth of Kenyan golf. As we move into the second half of the tour, we’re confident our players will be ready to represent the country strongly at the Magical Kenya Open 2026.”
