Kenya’s Golfer Of The Year (Goty) winner Kenneth Bollo of Royal Nairobi Golf club will lead a team six amatuers at this year’s Kenya open Golf Championships slated for Muthaiga Golf Club between March 23 and 26.

Kenya Golf Union (KGU) made the announcement on Monday, a day after the season opening Sigonal Bowl which was won by Shiv Shah.

The other players in the team are Jeff Kubwa of Muthaiga, Sujan Shah of Sigona who was picked for winning the Matchplay tournament last year, Royal’s Alfred Nandwa who won the Strokeplay competition last year and Nyali junior Agil-is-Ag who was crowned the best junior player in 2016, while the sixth position will be a wild card picked by the union and set to be disclosed soon.

This year’s Kenya Open in its 49^th edition will see a participation of 156 golfers drawn across the globe battling for the top prize of sh 3.5 million with a record attendance of over 10,000 spectators. Kenya is set to be represented by its traditional number of 26 players; 22 pros and 4 amateurs currently undergoing training at Muthaiga in preparation for the event to present a more competitive team this time round. officialshoeoutlets officialshoeoutlets
