Kenya Golf Union will for the first time in history host a Legends Golf Tournament on Friday, April 1, at the par 71 Muthaiga Golf Club course.

The main aim is to celebrate the game of golf in the country. The event which has attracted a big number of entries across the country will be followed by award gala dinner at the Club.

A number of sponsors including Kenya Wine Agencies Ltd (KWAL), AAR and The AnchorGroup of Companies (through their franchise Giraffe Ark Game Lodge) who are the title sponsors have offered to support the day long event.

While signing the agreement with the Giraffe Ark, Kenya Golf Union (KGU) chairman Anthony Muhoro noted that the partnership will mutually help the two organizations in reaching to as many clients as possible. The Chairman Anchor Group of Companies, Peter Mahu Muthee noted that his organization will work with the Union in making the event successful. The Anchor group will also provide some holiday packages to the winners.

Muhoro said there are great number of individuals who have contributed immensely to the growth of the game and their efforts are never recognized. He added that golf remains one of the sports in Kenya where various individuals use their resources and time to make it reachable to many Kenyans.

He noted that during the award ceremony, various personalities will be recognized for their role in golf development not only at the club level but also at the national level. Amongst those to be awarded are former KGU Chairmen, Former National Team Players, and individuals who have contributed to the growth of the game. cheap air max 2017 cheap air max 2017
