The 2016 edition of the Kenya Open Golf Championship has today received a Kshs 4 million sponsorship boost from Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) as part of a partnership deal that will see KBL’s premium beer brand become the official alcoholic beverages for the event.

Speaking at a cheque hand over event held at the brewer’s headquarters in Ruaraka, KBL Marketing Director, Mr. John Williams, said the partnership with Kenya Open Golf Championship is important for Tusker Malt Lager and KBL as it is one of Kenya’s top sporting events with a large local, regional and global reach.

The Kenya Open, the Kenya Open Golf Ltd and the Kenya Golf Union meet our stringent criterion for sponsorship, and the championship through this event is a perfect fit for Tusker Malt Lager whose strategy is to connect with our premium consumers,” said Mr.Williams

Tusker Malt Lager is brewed to meet the very discerning taste of its consumers. The Kenya Open is Kenya’s and indeed East Africa’s most prestigious golf championship, and we are proud to be associated with it,” he said.
