KCB has renewed its golf sponsorship, committing up to Ksh20 million for the 2016 KCB Corporate Golf day circuit, highlighting the lender’s continued resolve to support sports.
The KCB Corporate Golf 2016 will be an amateur-structured tour traversing more than a dozen golf courses across the country in tournaments and several club night.
This year’s sponsorship is quite unique in three ways; one, the KCB Corporate Golf will be an amateur tour, giving budding golfers the opportunity to hone their skills and to grow a robust generation of golfers. Secondly, KCB existing customers, potential clients and partners will have the opportunity to get more spots to play in various tournaments that we will sponsor this year. Thirdly, the Bank will be giving professional golfers—through PGK— an opportunity to showcase their skills in one of the tournaments, a Pro-Arm event slatted for March 5 at Thika Sports Club. KCB has committed Ksh2 Million in prize money for this particular event. This will give our Professionals a chance to practice ahead of the Kenya Open Golf later in March.

We will continue to support this tournament since it works well towards the diffusion of the image of our country as a golf destination endowed with remarkable beauty”, said KCB Director of Marketing Angela Mwirigi.
This year, the KCB golf tour will feature six tournaments hosted in various golf courses in Nairobi, Kisumu, Muranga, Nakuru, and Uasin Gishu among other counties.
