South Africa based Stefan Andersen today took an early lead after the first round of the fourth KCB Golf Tour at the par 71 Nyali Golf and Country Club.

Andersen carries a three shot lead after he played four under 67, while Vet Lab is second in the leader board on one under par 70 while Nyanza’s David Odhiambo and Muthaiga’s Nicholas Rokoine are tied in the third spot on level par 71.

Professional Golfers of Kenya (PGK) chairman Riz Charania and Mumias’ Dismas Indiza are tied in the fifth spot on two9 over par 73.

Andersen had a good start with a birdies on the par five first hole. He sunk an eagle on the par five hole five and picked another shot on the par four hole before playing a bogey on the par four hole nine for a first nine score of 33.

In the second nine, he dropped a shot on the par three hole 10 before recovering with a birdie on the par five hole 11, played another bogey on the par four 13th hole and birdied the par five hole 17 for a score of 34.
