Nakuru resident Pro Richard Ainley has taken the lead after the second round of the on going Professional Golfers of Kenya (PGK) grand finale with a superb two under par 142  after two rounds at the Leisure Lodge Golf course. A total of 25 pros made the cut in the second day with 159 making the final cut. During the first day the calculating Windsor golf club resident Pro Rizwan Charania shot a level par to stamp his presence in the currently underway KCB Advantage banking golf grand finale tour in the par 72 Leisure Golf and resort club.

The PGK captain and a serious contender for the coveted order of merit was in good shape coming to Leisure lodge having had a dodgy tour this year.

“My strategy was to keep the ball in play and think may way around the course. focusing on good tee shots and calculated pars”, said Rizwan Charania. In second place was Windsor’s Brian Njoroge who has had a couple of great outings in this season finishing in second position in the last tour of Eldoret. Brian managed two over 74 in a day that sow winds and difficulty in adapting to the humid weather in Leisure course. Third place was a tie of three overs for six pros;  Richard Ainley from Nakuru golf club, N  Ngugi, Simon Ngige of Thika golf club; G, Gedie, David Opati of Golf park, and  David Wakhu Royal Nairobi golf club were on spot for the third position.
