On form Nicholas Rokoine seem to be running away with the Professional Golfers of Kenya (PGK) Order of Merit title after he opened a massive nine shot lead after the second round of this year’s KCB Tour Grand Finale at the par 71 Nyali Club on Thursday.

The Muthaiga pro who enjoyed a first round lead on Wednesday, tightened his grip on the lead with another cameo performance in the second round to enjoy a comfortable nine shots lead on six under par 168 with two rounds to go.

Nakuru’s David Wakhu, Vet Lab’s Brian Njoroge and Rwandese E.Ruterana shared the second position on three over par 144, while PGK chairman Riz Charanis, Golf Park’s Jacob Okelo and John Kagiri tied on four over par 145.

The chase for the Order of Merit title had been cut down to Rokoine, Simon Ngige, Charania and Dismas Indiza, but it now seems impossible to snatch it away from the mouth of Rokoine.
