Anthony Murage was on Sunday crowned the winner of this year’s Karen Golf Club Annual Stroke play Championship held at the par 72 course at the weekend.

Murage playing off Playing off handicap 4 shot 7 over par gross of 155 with 8 over par 72 round one and 3 over on the second round beating Clive Davis by 4 shots to clinch the General Motors East Africa sponsored event.
Murage’s round one was combined of anything not more that a par moving into
round two only birdie on par 4 hole number five. He dropped shots on par 4 6th
and 7th par 3 hitting pars on the rest of the holes for 75 gross; 3 over.
Clive Davies playing off handicap 2 shot 157 gross, 5 over on round one and slips
on the second round with 8 over. He shot a birdie on the par 3 tenth hole on
round one maintaining pars on the rest holes dropping shots on par 4 fourth, par
4 eight and double bogey on 9th par 3.
Peter Waweru was overall 3rd with 158 gross while Alastar Addison was the
overall net winner with 136, Mark Williams second with 143 and Maina Karanja 3rd with 145 nett.
Philip Kyega was the guest winner with 1 over round one and level par round two.
KGU’s club representative Paul Kaguamba was the final round gross winner with 3
over and Bob Oliver was the net winner with 2 under.
All the winners in the two days competition were awarded various prizes courtesy
