NIC BANK SERIES MOVES TO NAKURU CLUB FOR ITS SEVENTH LEG
By ENOCK NGOME
Over 120 golfers are expected at the NIC Bank Golf Series tournament to take place at Nakuru Golf Club this Saturday. The golfers have been drawn from host Nakuru, Njoro, Naivasha and Nairobi.
Action begins at 8.30am with the first team teeing off then, while the last tee off is slightly after one pm and expected to finish by half past five.
Club Captain Karinga Wambugu says the 18-hole par-73 course is well maintained and golfers can expect to have an easy time. “The greens are in superb condition and well maintained by our green keeper Njuguna Njoka and just to bring on some excitement we will have some Mbuzi choma on the bandas at 1st and 2nd nine!” says Wambugu.
The Nakuru Golf Club is the only uphill course in Kenya, situated about 160km from Nairobi and on the slopes of the extinct volcanic Menengai crater. “The uphill course is challenging but very exciting as well for any golfer,” says captain Wambugu.
The Nakuru team of the Nanji brothers as well as Moses Kiragu, Alfred Nandwa, Njuguna Njoka, Josephine Kaime, Muna Njenga, Patrick Matindi and Mussaji Jnr are some of the golfers expected to bring on the heat as golfers battle for well deserved prizes lined up after the game.
This is the second event to take place in Nakuru in the ongoing NIC Bank Golf series that has so far been to Eldoret, Vetlab, Limuru, Nanyuki and Nyanza in a bid to introduce new customers to their products. nike air max weiß nike air max weiß
