James Muteithia beat a large field of over 100 seasoned golfers to shoot the best score during the annual Mustek East Africa Golf tournament on Friday at the par 72 Sigona Golf club.

Muteithia posted a total of 41 stable ford points after combining 18 and 23 on outward and inward respectively.

Playing off handicap 14 he set off the day with a par on par 4, dropped a shot, a bogey on par 3 and shot a par on fourth longest -par 5.

Muteithia dropped shots on fifth- par 3, seventh and double bogie on par 4- eighth, shooting two pars on sixth and ninth for an outward 18.

A birdie on the 10th dog-leg par 5 set a stunning back nine performance for James with nothing less than a bogie for an inward 23.

Seven back to back pars on 11th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th respectively and the only dropped shot on second nine on the par 4- thirteenth hole.

“I opted for a 4-iron on all my tee shots on pars four and five which kept my balls on the fairway. At least I was always on with two or three shots and a maximum of two putts. The green keeper made the greens very difficult for putting and therefore it wasn’t an easy play though but I managed”, said Muteithia on receiving his prize from Mustek East Africa Goup CEO Cornie Combrink.

Playing off 23, Gideon Mugunyu shot the second best for the day after combining 18 and 20 on outward and inward respectively for 38 stable ford points.

Gideon  managed bogies on all his holes on front nine dropping two shots on 8th hole with a double bogey on stroke index 1 par 4 -7th.

He shot five pars on inward nine dropping shots on 12th, 13th, 15th and 16th holes for 20.

Dr.Karanja  playing off 11 was third on returning 38 stable ford points loosing on countback from runners up Gideon Mugunyu.

Deep shah playing off 13 was the winner of the outward nine with 23 points and Michael hughs won the inward nine with 20 points on count back.

All the winners received flat screens, TV’s, laptops and various products from D-link, Toshiba, Olympus, Microsoft, Lg and Fujitsu. pandora anillos pandora anillos

Mumias’ pro Dismas Indiza made up for his disappointing Kenya Open Championship show with a deserved win during the third leg of this year’s KCB East Africa Golf Challenge held at the par 70 nine-hole Nyanza Golf Club at the weekend.
Indiza ended the three round tournament on five under par 205, four shots better than his closest challenger David Wakhu of Nakuru.
At the Kenya Open held at the Muthaiga Golf Club two weeks ago, Indiza was on course of breaking the local’s duck as he trailed day two over night leader by a single shot, but tumbled in the third round to finally end the tournament tied in the 21st position, but at the Nyanza Club he was at a class of his own playing four under on the first day, one under on the second day and a level par on the final day.
Wakhu settled for the second spot on one under par 209. He played an impressive three under par 67 in the first round, played two under par 69 in the second round, but fumbled on the final day where he played three over par 73.
Home player David Odhiambo enjoying his course was third on one over par 211 (75, 70, 66), while John Kagiri of Limuru finished fourth on four over par 214 (74, 72, 68) and vet Lab’s Brian Njoroge who was a joint best placed Kenya player with Indiza during the Kenya Open, finished fifth at Nyanza on six over par 216 (73, 71, 72).
Former order of merit winner at the competition, Simon Ngige tied with Sulivan Muthugia and Nyali’s Kopan Timba in the sixth position on nine over par 219. Ngige played rounds of 72, 76, 71, while Muthugia scored 71, 75, 73 and Timbe scored an identical score of 73 in each of the three rounds. nike air max 90 mujer nike air max 90 mujer
