It will be all systems go as Kenya’s newest 18-hole golf course, Vetlab, gets ready to host its first golfer of the year event, the Kabete Open, this weekend.

Kenya’s top amateurs will on Friday tee-off at the par 72 golf course as they bid to become the country’s Number One amateur this season.

Current GOTY standings leader David Opati will lead the field as he hopes to stretch his lead at the helm, but he expects a run for his money especially from international Mathew Omondi and Robinson Owiti who will be enjoying their home course.

“We are honoured to be given this event by the Kenya Golf Union and have done everything possible to ensure the players have a successful outing with the usual Kabete hospitality,” said Captain, Kuria kihara.

Over 50 amateurs will play the 54-hole tournament with Vetlab members beefing up the numbers in a subsidiary category on Saturday. The players weill cover 36 holes on Friday playing off the white tees and face the final 18 holes on Saturday off the blue tees. maillots foot maillots foot
