The €89,400 Mercedes Benz GLC 250 Coupe on display at the Muthaiga Golf Club. It is up for grabs for the player who successfully sinks a hole-in-one at the 13th hole of the par-71 Muthaiga Golf Club.

A Mercedes Benz GLC 250 Coupe, valued at approximately Sh 11 Million (€89,400) is up for grabs at this year’s Kenya Open Golf Tournament for the player who successfully sinks a hole-in- one at the 13th hole of the par-71 Muthaiga Golf Club.

In the event anyone manages to achieve the herculean task of sending the ball flying past a water hazard to the par 3 hole 13, more than 100 meters away, they stand to win an amount higher than the eventual winner’s prize money which is approximately Sh 10million (80,000 euros).

The top-of- the-range Mercedes sports, among other features, Google Maps with voice command, intelligent lighting, cornering light function which adapts to the road 20 meters ahead of a corner and Pre-Safe Function which detects a collision and reduces impact of the collision, should it eventually happen.

Last year, Oliver Lindell from Finland, sank the first-ever competitive hole-in- one at the Open to win a Ford Ranger WildTrak valued at Sh 6.9 million. TADINI AND WANJALA WIN FIRST KENYA OPEN PRO-AM

The pair of professional golfer Alessandro Tadini of Italy and Kenya Golf Union Chairman Richard Wanjala are the winners of the first Pro-Am at the 2018 Barclays Kenya Open.

Tadini and Wanjala combined to return a score of 45 points, tied with second placed pairing of Magnus Carlsson and T Chege who missed out on first place after playing a round of 16 compared to the winner’s score of 17 on the back 6.

The Kenya Open Pro-Am attracted over 100 players including Romain Langasque and Victor Rui who qualified for the Kenya Open at yesterday’s Pre qualifier. The tournament also featured the likes of Kenyan top professional golfers Stefan Andersen, David Odhiambo, Mahit Mediratta and Jeff Kubwa.

For their efforts, the top three pros Alessandro Tadini, Magnus Clarlsson and David Law walked away with 300 Euros.

The second Pro-Am tournament at the 2018 Kenya Open sponsored by Barclays Bank is set to tee off at 7:50 AM at the Muthaiga Golf Club. With the likes of Finland’s, Roope Kakko and Professional Golfers of Kenya Captain John Wangai alongside Riz Charania, Dismas Indiza and Nicolas Rokoine set to play. nike air max trainers nike air max trainers
