BAVNISH CHANDARIA INCLUDED IN KENYA TEAM FOR EA CHALLENGE

Kenya Golf Union (KGU) today included for Muthaiga Golf Club captain Bhavnish Chandaria in the national team set to represent the country at the East Africa Golf Challenge to be held at the Kigali Golf Club in Rwanda between November 17 and 22.

Other members of the team had been picked through a qualifying tournament played at Vet Lab on Monday and Tuesday and from the Golf Of The Year (GOTY) series current standings. Junior golfer Agil Is Hag from Nyali Golf and Country Club has also been added into the team.

The Team to the regional competition will be led by Head of Delegation Anthony Muhoro who is also the KGU chairman, tournament director Muchao Githiaka and team coach Brian Njoroge.

The East Africa Golf Challenge event remains one of the most prestigious golf competitions in East Africa. It was first played in 1999 in Kenya and it involves the members of East Africa Community.

The format involves 4 rounds of golf with singles, foursomes, four ball better ball and final singles. Each country has eight players and a reserve.

Team Uganda is the defending champion.
