The 2015 edition of the Kenya Open Golf Championship has today received a Kshs 5 million sponsorship boost from Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) as part of a partnership deal that will see KBL’s premium beer and spirit brands become the official alcoholic beverages for the event.

Speaking at a cheque hand over event held at the brewer’s headquarters in Ruaraka, KBL managing Director, Mr. Joe Muganda, said the partnership with Kenya Open Golf Championship is important for Tusker Malt Lager and KBL as it is one of Kenya’s top sporting events with a large local, regional and global reach.

The Kenya Open, the Kenya Open Golf Ltd and the Kenya Golf Union meet our stringent criterion for sponsorship, and the championship through this event is a perfect fit for Tusker Malt Lager whose strategy is to connect with our premium consumers,” said Mr. Muganda.

Tusker has been associated with the Kenya Open tournament since the late 1980’s, when the event was part of the Safari Tour. From 1998 to 2001 – a total of four years – Tusker was the title sponsor of the Kenya Open and again for five years from 2005 to 2009.

From 2010 to date, Tusker Malt Lager has been the Kenya Open official alcoholic beverage partner, delivering great refreshment moments to golfing fans in a way that only the best, most premium Malt Lager can.

Tusker Malt Lager is brewed to meet the very discerning taste of its consumers. The Kenya Open is Kenya’s and indeed East Africa’s most prestigious golf championship, and we are proud to be associated with it,”he said.

Johnnie Walker Black, a premium whisky brand under the KBL franchise, will be the tourney’s official spirit beverage during the 6th – 12th April 2015 event that will be held at the Karen Country Club. cheap air max 97 cheap air max 97
