Playing off handicap 23, home golfer Evans Manono played an impressive 39 stableford points to win the fourth round of Safaricom Business Challenge Golf tournament held at Nyanza Golf club.

Manono posted 16 points on the front nine before following that with a fine 23 points in the back nine in a day that saw a field of 80 armatuer golfers take the soggy Nyanza course.

I have only played golf for the last seven months and I feel it’s a game that can take me places, I feel good after winning this tournament today and hope to follow the other remaining tour series,” Manono said.

In second place was George Adongo playing off handicap 15 with 37 stableford points. He shot 15 points in the front nine and a superb 22 in the back nine.

Adongo also took the men’s title with 37 stableford points.

This is good for me since I have not been playing for some time but today’s Safaricom tournament has given me the gusto to frequently participate in golf tournaments,” said the winner.

Third place went to Ken Amalemba playing off handicap 12 with a total of 37 stableford points. He w
