Royal Nairobi Golf Club professional Anil Shah produced an impressive five under par 67 in the closing round of the KCB Advantage Banking Challenge, the first tournament in this year’s KCB East Africa Tour, to walk away with the top prize.

Shah who emerged the overall winner during the 2011 KCB East Africa Tour grand finale at Nyali, recorded a total of six birdies and only one bogey to bring his total to five under par 211 having shot 72 in each of the first two rounds.

Shah who attributed his victory to change of swing and the way he has been practicing, beat home player and defending champion Simon Ngige and Muthaiga’s Nicholas Rokoine by two strokes.

His victory saw him take home Sh108,000. “I have started the season well and I think is a sign of the way things will be this season’’ said Shah.

Ngige who won the 2010 event and retained the title last year, shot one under par 71 in the final round for 213 to tie with Rokoine who had carded five under par 67. Day one leader Dismas Indiza who had shot 79 in the second round to drop to seventh place yesterday made a tremendous recovery, firing five under par 67 to finish fourth on 214, and two shots better than the Great Rift Valley Resort’s David Wakhu. michael kors tasche blau michael kors tasche blau
