GIVE GOLF PARK A CHANCE AT TANNAHILL SHIELD EVENT AND WE’LL TAME MUTHAIGA: OKELLO

Veteran golfer and Golf Park’s resident professional Jacob Okello has urged organisers of the annual Tannahill Shield event to consider including Golf Park Club in the competition to give dominants Muthaiga a run for their money.
Muthaiga has always been dominating the tournament and added another Shield to their name recently and Okello reckons that Golf Park is the only club at the moment that can challenge Muthaiga at the event.
“Currently we have six of our players in the top six of the Kenya Golfer of the Year standings, so I believe we should have a stake at next year’s Tannahill Shield, so that we can end Muthaiga’s dominance,” said Jacob Okello.
Okello said Muthaiga would continue dominating the tournament if new competitive clubs were not incorporated into the Easter event. Golf Park players in the GOTY leader board include international David Opati, Joseph Karanja, Tony Omuli, Dennis Saikwa, Kevin Juma and Paul Juma.
Royal’s captain Murwithania Mugambi said the organizers would meet and decide who replaces relegated Windsor Golf and Country Club at next year’s competition.
“We would decide if Railways Golf Club and Golf Park can go through a play off for us to pick the winner for next year’s event or if they can merge and enter a single team. We have received Golf Parks requests but we first have to know if the board would accept them,” said Mugambi. canada goose sale canada goose sale
